據管道油氣新聞網3月1日消息：特提斯石油公司(Tethys Oil)宣布，其位于阿曼49區塊的Thameen-1勘探井遇到了碳氫化合物。

阿曼陸上49區塊的探井Thameen-1已經鉆至最終總深度，電纜測井作業已經完成。該井在主要目標層Hasirah砂巖中發現了油氣。評估該油井的下一步是啟動試井程序，試圖將碳氫化合物輸送到地面。測試計劃的結果預計將在三周內公布。

“這還不算是一個新發現，但是迄今為止的進展使我們感到鼓舞，這對區塊的整體遠景來說也是個好消息。但必須再耐心等待三周。”特提斯石油公司總經理Magnus Nordin表示。

特提斯石油公司通過其全資子公司Tethys Oil Montasar Ltd.成為該區塊的運營商，并持有該區塊勘探和生產共享協議中50%的工作權益。

Tethys Oil finds oil in Oman

Tethys Oil announced that its Thameen-1 exploration well in Block 49 in Oman had encountered hydrocarbons.

The exploration well Thameen-1 on Block 49 onshore Oman has drilled to its final total depth and wireline logging operations have been completed. The well has encountered hydrocarbon shows in the primary target, the Hasirah Sandstone. The next step in evaluating the well is to commence a well testing programme in an attempt to flow hydrocarbons to surface. The result of the testing programme is expected within three weeks.

“This is not a discovery yet, but we are very encouraged by the progress so far and it is great news for the overall prospectivity of the Block. Now we have to be patient for another three weeks as we await the test results,” says Tethys Oil AB’s Managing Director Magnus Nordin.

Tethys Oil AB, through its wholly owned subsidiary Tethys Oil Montasar Ltd., is the operator of the Block and holds a fifty percent working interest in the exploration and production sharing agreement covering the Block.
