Shipping firm Maersk to cut 2,000 jobs

Shipping and logistics giant Maersk declared almost 2,000 job cuts in a report to the Copenhagen Stock exchange on Tuesday, October 13.

Maersk presently has a workforce of almost 80,000 internationally.

The redundancies come as a result of organizational changes in the firm's Ocean and Logistics & Services stores and will activities with container vessels, according to the report.
