Saudi Arabia Slashes Asia Selling Prices

Saudi Aramco on Monday slashed the price at which it will sell oil to Asia for a second straight month, despite Riyadh's agreement Sunday to historic global production cuts.

State-run Saudi Arabian Oil Co. sharply cut the official selling price of all grades of crude sold to the Far East in May, with coronavirus-driven lockdowns having hurt demand for oil and oil products.

Aramco removed the premium on its super light crude, cutting prices by $5.50 a barrel and placing a $3.65-a-barrel discount on the variety. The company cut its Asia selling prices for extra light and light crude by $4.30 and $4.20 a barrel, respectively.
