Shell Sells Downstream Business in Denmark for $80M

LONDON--Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB.LN) said Thursday that it is selling its downstream business in Denmark for $80 million, as part of its strategy to concentrate downstream operations on areas where it can be most competitive.

The major oil company has sold A/S Dansk Shell in Denmark, which consists of the 70,000 barrels-a-day Fredericia refinery and local trading and supply activities, to Dansk Olieselskab ApS. The sale price includes working capital.

The sale is expected to complete in 2017, subject to regulatory approval, Shell said.
